KINGDOM OF THE BLIND Every life is like a Highway - we choose the roads we hope are clear But what can we see? We can walk towards redemption,  we can run towards our dreams So why do we fear? We make believe that we have some control. We struggle hard and then we find We're in the Kingdom of the Blind Every problem has solutions  - Every doorway has its key But where does it lead? Always off to some Horizon  -  never quite where we can see Just out of reach   We make believe that we have some control. We struggle hard and then we find We're in the Kingdom of the Blind It's a problem for you - it's a problem for me It's a problem for everyone. We lost sight of our dream, chose to feed the machine That we chased for our whole lives We gave up the fight, losing sight of the right To the  last chance to be heard

Begin Again 06:27
BEGIN AGAIN My heart belongs to a nation that's lost in self-pity, Looking back through the factory smoke and the rain. I can remember the cobble-stone streets and the dark city walls,  - so I'm more than content to let history books tell it all.. But I'll never surrender this feeling I get when I'm home.. There's a spirit inside, taking pride claiming me as it's own Legends created from yesterday's black-leaded sorrows, Fermented in casks to be borne on the emigrant tide. Forging the links in a brotherhood chain - stretching all around the world To a homeland that's drowning in tears from expatriate eyes But I'll never surrender this feeling I get when I'm home.. There's a spirit inside, taking pride claiming me as it's own Ohh.. Take me away from the hillside and the glen, Away from the ghosts of the shipyard and foundry men Why can't we surpass this obsession with the past? Is it hope beyond reason it might be the season at last ..to begin again HIding our dreams in the dark of another man's shadow Pretending to blame him for all of our sadness and pain When will we learn that our fortunes will turn on the choices that we make   Let the past be the past,  we must  start down the road once again. But I'll never surrender this feeling I get when I'm home.. There's a spirit inside, taking pride claiming me as it's own Ohh.. Take me away from the hillside and the glen, Away from the ghosts of the shipyard and foundry men Why can't we surpass this obsession with the past? Is it hope beyond reason it might be the season at last ..to begin again

NEVER TOO LATE Sunlight - can we afford to do without the sunlight? Will we avoid the colours of the rainbow, when they get too bright? Burning ultraviolet through the skylight Raindrops - Who will want to catch the falling raindrops? Bitter taste of acid on the fingers which nothing can wipe away Eating through the paintwork on the doorway Tell me when is too late to change the things that we do To a world full of hunger and pain Making plans that will last till the end of out days Don't say it's too late - There must be some kind of way to pull through Will it be safer, not to turn our back on Mother Nature? Now that she's bitter and she's twisted - become the enemy of man And takes revenge whenever she can. Tell me when is too late to change the things that we do To a world full of hunger and pain Making plans that will last till the end of out days Don't say it's too late - There must be some kind of way to pull through Will we stand here like fools? Watch and wait while  our light fades into gloom? Have  we got what it takes To put aside our arrongant mistakes? Don't say it 's too late - it's never too late We've got what it takes to pull through

THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE Look in the bottle and what do you see? An end to the struggle to stay as you'd be Though I know it's not right - the taking of life I know now I'd have to agree Leave them a letter; say they're not to blame Despite all their love ti still worked out the same Oh, goodbye is so hard, here alone in the dark But it's not them who's going insane. What has become of our life? The promise that once burned so bright? Now the world has grown old Left you out in the cold There's nothing to hold on for now They won't forget you whatever you say You can be sure you're remembered this way; Taking charge of your life - walking tall in the night Not afraid of the following day I can't say I think you were right Can't agree with the waste of a life But I know you fought long -  Chose the best of two wrongs We all have that choice yet to come.

DARKNESS HAS SPOKEN Sometimes it's hard to get a handle Sometimes it's hard to know what's right You can't tell who is foe or who your friends are You don't know who to trust or who to fight. You've never had to question someone's motives Never looked beyond the public face Never thought to look beneath the surface and see the lies behind their cold embrace       The sun shines down in its usual way But it casts no light over me The sun shines down and has nothing to say  - Darkness has spoken to me   Harsh and unexpected The blast that  knocked me from my feet Tear up the past  - that life has ended Just the bitter taste of shame and  disbelief   There can be no understanding There can't be trust where hope has died I want revenge  -  my soul demands it My heart turned black as night The sun shines down in its usual way But it casts no light over me The sun shines down and has nothing to say  - Darkness has spoken to me My mind is reeling - I have lost control I'm a cannonball spinning in flight  No I can't stop  burning - I can't stop  turning, all my hate into talons of spite I'm a harpie spitting vengeance and spite. And though the darkness fills my sight I know that distant rays are warming me   Calling me to head towards the light I know that I will not forgive But I  must learn to grow and give a better meaning to the days beyond this strife. Now the sun shines down in a different way Now it casts it's light over me The sun shines down and has one thing to say  - The Darkness has gone The sun shines down in a different way Now it casts it's light over me The sun shines down and there's one thing to say - The Darkness has gone - long gone...

The Real Me 05:53
THE REAL ME Better take care 'cause there's nothing but evil in me, Better beware of the poisonous, secretive me; There's a bottomless pit where my conscience should be, A ravenous Tiger that longs to break free  -  Eating up all that's wholesome and decent in me Don't get too close to the flame 'cause you know you will burn; I have no shame, causing pain every way that I turn; I take what I wand and I don't make amends -  Spit bile at the doorstep of foe and of friend; I'll be heartless and callous and cruel till the end. You hope and you pray that it all goes away But it won't keep me from your door; I know you'd like to believe that good wins in the end.... But it don't!!

TEARDROPS IN THE RAIN Catch all the teardrops in the rain It's only water falling softly to the ground And in your eyes I see a solitary man Who waits impatiently in silence for the coldness of your hand Do you remember the leaves  now diseased in November Were green like the garden in May Do you believe that the spring will release What the winter has taken away? It's getting cold, it's getting dark I'm walking homewards with a stranger through the park A bitter wind pulls at your face Distorting memories of tenderness with shadows of regret Do you remember the leaves  now diseased in November Were green like the garden in May Do you believe that the problems you leave Stay behind you when you run away? And though your life is changing faster than the seasons That's no reason to hurt those that you've outgrown I realise there's little chance you saying sorry But I'm damned if I will let you grind me down.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS He's a man with a plan and you know that it's a rigtheous plan. Got a head full of dreams and he's got to make them true Got the zeal to reveal all the chaos burning in his mind Got a head full of noise that he want to share with you He's a man with a plan and you know that it's a rigtheous plan. Got his head in the clouds, talkin' crazy like a clown, But you know that'll he burst if he doesn't get it down. He can walk, he can talk but he's doesn't know which way he's aimed Can't describe what the madness is that's driving him insane Nothing lost, nothing gained but he's under a tremendous strain Got to force up the pace if he's gonna ease the pain He's a man with a plan and you know that it's a rigtheous plan. Got his head in the clouds, talkin crazy like a clown, But you know that'll he burst if he doesn't get it down. The Usual Suspects are in the house The Usual Suspect are here The Usual Suspects take what they want They fill my doubts and my fears They come for me when I'm alone They can't be stopped  - they can't be thrown   They've got a grip upon my heart.....
